Blog → Mentor for Good - helping social entreprenuers

Last week Pascal and I launched our own non-profit Mentor for Good. We’ve been talking for some time about formalizing the voluntary work we’ve been doing across our kitchen table with organizations like Aunt Bertha, CASH Music and GoldieBlox.

We both have a deep passion and belief that the real problems in the world today will only be solved through social entrepreneurship. So in our spare time we’ve been mentoring social start-ups with advice ranging from business strategy to finance, marketing and product mangement. Our time spent with a mentee is completely free; we’re doing this pro-bono to do our bit for the world.

Mentor for Good has been growing fast in our kitchen, and now we’re keen to ramp up and help many more mentees. That requires expanding the Mentor for Good mentor network. So if you’re a business professional who can donate a few hours per month, we’d love to hear from you.

Likewise, if you’re a social entrepreneur please get in touch and ask for mentoring. We’re not always able to help, but we’ll do our best to connect you with someone who can.

Pascal and I are incredibly proud of the people we meet with big ideas to make the world better. And if we can give back a little of the very priviledged positions we’ve held, and share more widely the knowledge that we’ve obtained — we’re glad to do our bit.
